  • Tutoring: Whether you're grappling with complex concepts or need help with assignments, our experienced tutors are ready to assist. They offer support in a variety of subjects, ensuring you get the help you need.
  • Review Sessions: Prepare for exams with our structured review sessions. Our tutors will guide you through key concepts and problem-solving strategies, helping you build confidence and understanding.

  • Workshops and Seminars: You will be able to enhance your study skills and academic strategies with our workshops and seminars. Topics will range from time management to effective study techniques, all designed to support your academic journey.

Meet Our Team

Marika Apostolova

Director: Dr. Marika Apostolova

Dr. Apostolova brings a wealth of experience in education and student support. With a PhD in Technical Sciences and over 18 years of experience in academic development, she leads the CSE SSC with a passion for helping students achieve their best. Her vision is to create a supportive and resource-rich environment where every student can thrive.

Carter Tiernan

Superintendent: Dr. Carter Tiernan

Dr. Carter Tiernan is Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in the College of Engineering and Professor of Instruction in Computer Science and Engineering. Dr. T works with student activities outside the classroom including student organizations, K-12 outreach, College scholarships, and activities to increase retention and build community among UTA Engineering students, faculty, and staff.
