All CSE classes now have wait lists. If a class is full, students can add themselves to the wait list. If seats become available, students on the wait list will be automatically enrolled. The capacity of a wait list is typically half of the capacity of the class. Although a student can enroll in up to 3 classes each semester, there is no limit of how many waiting lists a student can be on at a time. More information about wait lists can be found at: https://www.uta.edu/records/courses/policies/wait-list.php
If your degree plan has been finalized you should be able to register for classes as soon as registration opens. As such, the sooner you plan your program of work the better. In the event that a class that you must have in the current semester in order to graduate is full, speak with an advisor for assistance.
AIt’s a good idea to always have a second choice for your coursework in case you are simply not able to register for a specific course you want. Be open to take other classes; as enrollment grows and class demand increases, you may not be able to take every class you desire. There are multiple courses in each specialty area and some classes can be used in multiple specialties. More often than not there is another class that can be taken.
