CSE Senior Design

The CSE Senior Design program at UTA is a two-semester, team-based capstone experience where Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Software Engineering seniors apply their skills to real-world projects. Working in small teams with faculty guidance and industry or institutional sponsors, students design, build, and deliver complete systems from concept to final demonstration. Senior Design prepares students for professional practice through hands-on problem solving, collaboration, and practical engineering experience.

Commencement and Graduation

Any student wishing to be awarded their degree must apply for graduation via their MyMav Student Service Center. Students must apply for graduation to receive their degree, regardless of whether they plan to attend the commencement ceremony. Commencement ceremonies are handled exclusively by the Dean’s Office. Students who are awarded their degree in a summer term are invited to participate in the following fall commencement ceremonies.
