The College of Science Office of Health Professions honored students who have been admitted to medical, dental, and other health professions programs with the inaugural Future Healthcare Professional Acceptance Reception on March 31 in the Central Library 6th floor.

The event celebrated students who have been admitted to health professions schools in Texas and around the country. Sandy Hobart, health professions program director, presented a stole to each student who attended the reception which can be worn during commencement ceremonies in May.

“I can’t fully put into words how incredibly rewarding it is to watch our pre-health students reach this milestone,” Hobart said. “For many of them, I have been a part of their journey and have been fortunate to see them grow, adapt, and reach goals they themselves did not believe they could achieve.

“Watching them find their ‘why’ for their career and realize they are capable of more than they thought is what I am most proud of. I have no doubt they will make meaningful contributions to our healthcare system and look forward to continuing to be one of their biggest advocates. They are forever Mavericks!”

The following are UTA students admitted to health profession programs for 2026. Any students not included in this list who would like to be added can contact Hobart at sandy.hobart@uta.edu.
