Phi Sigma Biological Sciences Honor Society

Phi  Sigma is a national graduate honor society for the promotion of research in the biological sciences. Membership at UTA is open to all biology graduate students in good standing. All incoming graduate students are strongly encouraged to join. Every  semester, Phi Sigma offers research and travel grants on a competitive basis. Phi Sigma also sponsors an active seminar series which brings speakers to UTA to present their research. In addition, the society funds and organizes several social events throughout the year to increase interaction among graduate students, faculty, and staff.
