Commencement ceremonies will occur between Thursday, May 6 and Saturday, May 8. Times will be shared as soon as possible in the spring semester.
Ceremonies will occur in the College Park Center (CPC) and Texas Hall. Larger ceremonies will occur in the CPC, while smaller ceremonies may be hosted in Texas Hall.
Students will request accommodations when they register for commencement. Arrangements for guest accommodations will occur through the event staff in the College Park Center and Texas Hall. Details on how to request support will be shared during the spring semester.
Students will be guaranteed up to eight tickets if they register for commencement by the announced deadline, which will likely occur in early April. When students register, they will be able to request additional guest tickets. A lottery for any remaining tickets will be held very soon after registration closes. Students who receive additional guest tickets will be notified as soon as possible once the lottery is completed.
Children two years of age and under who can sit in the laps of other guests will not be required to have their own tickets.
Graduating students do not need guest tickets.
All tickets will be general admission. As full capacity crowds are expected for most ceremonies, seats will not be able to be reserved while waiting for individuals not yet present. In addition, gap seats between groups of guests will not be possible.
Due to the smaller number of graduates for each event, ceremonies will likely be 1½ to 1¾ hours.
Graduates will need to arrive approximately 90 minutes before their ceremony start time to line up and prepare for procession to their assigned seats at the beginning of the ceremony. If graduates arrive late, they may be moved to the back of the ceremony processional or will be held until an appropriate time in the ceremony to find their assigned seats.
Doors will open approximately 60 minutes before each ceremony for guests.
More detailed information will be provided during the spring semester.
Parking will be available for graduates and guests in all open spaces in parking lots around the College Park Center and Texas Hall and across campus, including appropriate parking garages. Parking maps with more detailed information will be provided in the spring semester.
Please note that as multiple ceremonies will occur each day, we ask that graduates and depart parking areas near the CPC and Texas Hall as soon as possible following their ceremony.
Graduates may continue to defer their participation by one semester. However, graduates who are completing their degree in the current semester will have preference for participation if space becomes restricted. Anticipated graduates are encouraged to contact their college coordinator for availability and processes to complete in deferring commencement participation.
Graduates may only defer their participation in commencement for one semester, if space allows for their participation once all current semester graduates have been accommodated.
For guests who are unable attend the ceremony, live streaming will be available during the scheduled ceremony times.
