HOLIDAY SCHEDULE AND VACATION REGULATIONS

2021-2022 Fiscal Year

Notice: Under state guidelines, 12 holidays are allowed for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. As you may be aware, on Thursday, June 17, 2021, President Joseph R. Biden signed into law an act designating June 19th, as Juneteeth National Independence Day, a federal holiday. As a result of the federal day designation, the UTA Holiday Committee reconvened to evaluate the University calendar with the intention of observing Juneteeth in June of 2022. UTA has historically observed Emancipation Day, during Winter Break to extend our break through December 31st. Now that Emancipation Day is a federal Holiday, we will observe it on June 17, 2022, which means the UTA campus will reopen on December 31, 2021.
