The College of Science and UTA Planetarium are hosting a free observing party to celebrate International Observe the Moon Night! Come by for a great view with the Observatory’s 16" Meade LX200 Astronomical telescope. You can also bring your own telescope, camera, or binoculars.

"Research Smarter, Work Better: AI Literacy/Tools Presented by UTA Libraries" - Gain the skills needed to distinguish evidence-based information from misinformation and use AI effectively and ethically in scientific learning and research. Explore how search engines, social media platforms, databases, and AI tools personalize and prioritize content based on search history, engagement patterns, and user behavior. By strengthening algorithmic and information literacy, we can use AI responsibly as a tool for scientific inquiry, research, and lifelong learning.

Undergraduate students, learn how to get involved in research in the College of Science! From 3-4 p.m. there will be information on UTA undergraduate research programs, and a panel discussion with Q&A, then from 4-5 p.m. there will be an informal networking mixer where students can talk with faculty members, staff, and graduate students about how to get involved. We'll have refreshments and raffle prizes!

TECH SESSIONS

Each semester, the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences hosts a weekly Tech Session featuring a guest speaker discussing a topic related to their research or field of employment. Unless noted below, Tech Sessions are held each Friday from 12-1 p.m. and are located in EES 100 unless the event is virtual.
