POLICE OFFICER / POLICE CADET

  • $58,000 - Starting (cadet)
  • $60,000 - After successful completion of TCOLE basic peace officer course
  • $62,000 - After successful completion of field training
  • Lateral officers (prior experience) may be compensated based upon prior experience
  • Eligible employees may receive tuition assistance for job related degree programs and classes, for more information click here.
  • Comprehensive insurance is available to include: Medical (covered at 100% for employee on first day of employment) Vision, Dental and Life.
  • Paid shift differential
  • Uniforms and necessary equipment provided, included duty weapon
  • Paid holidays (approximately 14 days per year)
  • Paid vacations (12 - 30+ days per year)
  • Paid sick time (12 days per year)
  • Teacher’s Retirement System (TRS) of Texas

PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER

  • $35,000
  • Candidates may be compensated based upon experience
  • Eligible employees may receive tuition assistance for job related degree programs and classes, for more information click here.
