Pools
INDOOR POOL CLOSURE
After extensive review, Campus Recreation is discontinuing recreational use of the UTA indoor pool effective immediately.
The indoor pool has played an important role in recreation, instruction, and wellness for students, faculty, and staff. We are deeply grateful for community built within this space over the years. We are currently assessing aquatic and fitness opportunities that best support both our current and future needs.Thank you for your longstanding support and participation. We hope that you utilize other Campus Recreation programs and resources to meet your needs this coming semester.
OUTDOOR POOL CLOSURE
After careful consideration, the outdoor pool will remain permanently closed. The facility has faced significant mechanical and maintenance challenges in recent years, and the resources required to restore it to operational standards are better allocated elsewhere.
As we begin the spring semester, Campus Recreation will explore alternative options for recreational outdoor pool use at our campus apartment communities. More information will be shared as these plans progress.
We will also begin planning for a new use of the outdoor pool space—one that will provide meaningful benefits to the recreation and fitness needs of the UTA community.
We sincerely thank our students and community members for their years of participation and support.
