Veteran Orientation

Military-Connected Transfer Students can choose to attend one of our Veteran Orientation sessions or a traditional Transfer Orientation. Military-Connected Freshmen must attend one of our Freshman Orientations.

Veteran & Non-Traditional Student Orientation is required for all new veteran and non-traditional students at The University of Texas at Arlington. This experience is designed to support students balancing academics with work, family, or military commitments. During orientation, you’ll learn about campus resources, connect with fellow Mavericks, engage with Maverick Orientation Leaders, receive academic advising, and register for your courses—all to help you start your UTA journey with confidence.

Refund Policy

Please be advised that in order to receive a refund, requests must be submitted a minimum of 7 days prior to the scheduled Orientation or Maventure Camp session. This time frame is essential as it allows us to finalize accurate attendee counts and logistical arrangements. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy. If your refund is for Orientation, email Orientation@uta.edu. If it is for Maventure Camp, please email Maventure@uta.edu.
