Learn what to expect and what the program offers.
UTA’s Master in Exercise Science provides advanced training in the physiological, biomechanical, and behavioral aspects of human movement and performance. Students choose one of three primary pathways, based on their professional goals to pursue physical and health education, develop expertise for clinical and performance-based careers, or prepare for doctoral study in areas such as applied physiology and rehabilitation sciences.
The curriculum emphasizes evidence-based practice, research methods and applied analysis, with opportunities to engage in faculty research projects on health, rehabilitation, and performance across diverse populations.
Guided by nationally and internationally recognized faculty, the program prepares graduates to work in strength and conditioning, clinical and rehabilitation settings, research coordination, and education, or continue into doctoral programs.
