ABOUT CANVAS

Canvas is a cloud–based learning management system (LMS). Every course–section and their respective student enrollments are automatically populated into the LMS four times daily. Read more about Canvas MyMav Policies. Instructors can use Canvas to teach a fully online course or as a rich supplement to the on-campus classroom. 

Faculty and staff have the ability to create content in Canvas that is not course-specific or non-academic. These courses in Canvas are ideal for user groups that do not function in the typical classroom setting such as advising, tutoring, or sharing departmental resources. Log in to Canvas

1. Log in at uta.instructure.com/login/saml
2. Log in through UTA's homepage: www.uta.edu and click on either "Students" or "Faculty/Staff" to find the Canvas link.
