CARE Team
Please Note: The Office of the Dean of Students will be relocating from the University Center to the Continuing Education and Workforce Development Building (140 W. Mitchell Street) between April 13, 2026, and May 1, 2026. During this time, there may be delay in responding to and resolving reports.
At UTA, we are committed to helping students succeed both personally and academically. The university offers many resources to support students, but sometimes students may not know what help is available or may feel unsure about reaching out. The CARE Team helps connect students with campus and community resources when they may be going through a difficult situation that affects their well-being, academics, or daily life.
Our goal is to provide care, support, and guidance so students can continue moving forward and feel supported at UTA.
This website is designed to help you:
- Learn what the CARE Team does
- Understand when someone may benefit from additional support
- Find helpful campus and community resources
- Learn how to connect a student with support
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the CARE Team at care@uta.edu or 817-272-7862.

- Support students’ academic, personal, and social well-being
- Connect students with helpful resources across campus and in the community
- Help students navigate challenges that may affect their success
Our Purpose
The CARE Team serves as a support resource for students, faculty, and staff.
Our work includes:
- Receiving concerns from members of the UTA community about a student who may need support
- Connecting students with campus and community resources
- Helping remove barriers that may affect a student’s well-being or academic success
- Supporting students during challenging life situations
- Providing guidance and consultation to faculty, staff, and others who are concerned about a student
Beliefs
At UTA, we believe that students sometimes experience challenges that can affect their well-being or academic success.
Changes in behavior, mood, or engagement may be signs that someone could benefit from additional support. When a concern is shared with the CARE Team, we reviw the information provided and work with campus partners to connect the student with helpful resources. Our focus is on support, care, and connection.
We partner with offices and support programs from across campus to help students access services that best meet their needs. Together, we work to maintain a campus environment that is safe, inclusive, and supportive of every student’s holistic development and success.
