Get on the Sociology Fast Track

Earn credit toward your MA while you are still an undergraduate! The Fast-Track Program allows outstanding Sociology majors to take up to three graduate seminars in sociology that will earn credit toward both their undergraduate Sociology degree and the MA degree in Sociology. 

The Fast Track Advantage

Complete the Fast-Track Program and your will be automatically accepted to the Sociology MA Program once the Sociology undergraduate degree is awarded. You will not be required to take the GRE, complete an additional application for admission to Graduate Studies, supply letters of recommendation, or pay an application fee.

When to apply:

Apply for the Fast-Track Program when you are within 30 hours of completing your Sociology undergraduate degree.

Requirements:
  • Completion of 30 hours at UTA
  • Overall GPA of 3.0
  • GPA of 3.25 in the most recent 30 hours of courses.
  • Completion of 4 required undergraduate Sociology courses with a GPA of 3.5 Or Completion of 3 required Sociology undergraduate courses with a GPA of 3.66 
  • Completion of at least two Sociology elective courses with a GPA of 3.5
