PhD Examinations for Electrical Engineering
Ph.D. Examinations
The Ph.D. Diagnostic Examination is offered two times per year; spring and fall semesters approximately two weeks before the end of the respective semesters. Students must register to take the exam. The Electrical Engineering Department no longer updates the Ph.D. Diagnostic Exam Text and Topic Reference Guide or the Ph.D. sample examinations, but the information contained in them remains accurate for use in preparation for the diagnostic exam.
Comprehensive Exam
Two forms are required for the Ph.D. Comprehensive Examination: Request to Schedule (department use only) and Completions Results. Forms are available in the EE Advising Office.
Dissertation Defense
Two forms are required for Ph.D. Dissertation Defense: Request to Schedule (department use only) and Completions Results. Forms are available in the EE Advising Office.
