Bring a government-issued photo ID, UTA ID (if issued), comfortable clothes, and anything you need for an overnight stay (for FTIC). Specific packing lists are provided in your orientation confirmation materials.
Yes. Family members are encouraged to engage with orientation programming and will receive information on family resources and support sessions appropriate to their participation.
Blaze Camp is an extended transition experience designed to help new students build community, develop leadership skills, and become more connected to campus before the semester begins. Blaze Camp is optional and is separate from New Maverick Orientation. While orientation focuses on academic advising, registration, and required transition programming, Blaze Camp provides an immersive, community-building experience that helps students form early friendships and strengthen their sense of belonging at UTA. Students must register separately for Blaze Camp, and space may be limited.
