Veteran Affairs FAQs

If you are using Chapter 33 benefits and your paperwork and online certification are received by the payment deadline, UTA will place a courtesy "do not drop for non-payment" on your account. It is your responsibility to adhere to the deadlines and make payment arrangements with Student Accounts if you are certifying late. Please remember all VA payments are reimbursements and are not guaranteed. Visit Payment Information and Tuition Payment Plans for payment options and available payment plans.

Benefits may be paid for training that is not deemed full-time. If you're receiving the Post-9/11 GI Bill® and training is at half-time or less, you will not receive the housing allowance portion of the benefit. However, your tuition and fees will still be paid according to your eligibility percentage. If you're receiving any other benefit program, the VA will pay you based on the tuition and fees of your course(s) as reported by University of Texas at Arlington.

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government website at https://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill.
