Late Fee Update

Beginning February 2024, the late fee amount for accounts that have past due Tuition and Mandatory Fees will increase to $100 per month. This increase does not apply to any other past due charges including but not limited to voluntary Payment Plans via TouchNet, Housing, Health Center etc.; therefore, past due accounts that do not include past due Tuition and Mandatory fees will not be impacted.

Monthly Late Fee Rates

  • Past due accounts that include past due Tuition and Mandatory Fees - $100
  • Past due accounts that do not include past due Tuition and Mandatory Fees - $25

*Note: This change does not apply to students enrolled into an accelerated online program.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

To prevent a late fee, please make sure your due charges are paid in full by the posted due date in MyMav.  If you are unable to pay your Tuition and Fees, we recommend enrolling in a voluntary payment plan via TouchNet to possibly extend your due date and/or reduce the late fee amount.  Visit our Tuition Payment Plan page for more information on payment plans to assist in managing your tuition and fee payments.

Need additional financial assistance? You can contact the Student Money Management Center to schedule a free appointment to learn about available resources, support, and guidance to give you the power and confidence in managing your money.

The changes to late fees are authorized by TEC Section 54.504
