Industrial Engineering - Bachelor's (B.S.)
DEGREE OVERVIEW
The Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering program will prepare students to design, develop, implement, and improve integrated systems that include people, materials, information, equipment and energy. The curriculum includes in-depth instruction to accomplish the integration of systems using appropriate analytical, computational, and experimental practices.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Students in the BS in industrial engineering program will gain fundamental knowledge and practical skills to create value for stakeholders through the identification, development, and implementation of new or optimized processes, products, or integrated systems and successfully communicate and document process descriptions, methodologies, data, analyses, results, and proposals to stakeholders.
They will also apply the knowledge and skills gained in the classroom in real-world settings through internships or co-ops and course projects, including the capstone project.
The 128-hour curriculum leads to a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering. Transfer students may receive credit for courses listed in the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s Field of Study Curriculum.
