APT promotion workshops are offered regularly to support each faculty cohort throughout the promotion process. These sessions begin around the middle of the fall semester and continue through January, prior to the submission deadline. The APT promotion process is facilitated through Watermark/Digital Measures (W/DM) Workflow. For a complete list of workshop dates and times, please visit the Watermark/Digital Measures Training Sessions and Workshops page. 

Before beginning the process of preparing the Academic Professional Track Dossier, candidates should review the departmental and/or college guidelines for promotion.

Promotion Guidelines


Level 1 APT Promotion

The minimum amounts are $4,000 or 5% of salary, whichever is higher.

Level 1 promotions include Lecturer to Senior Lecturer and Assistant to Associate ranks for Clinical, Instruction, Practice, and Research.

 

Level 2 APT Promotion

The minimum amounts are $5,000 or 5% of salary, whichever is higher.

Level 2 promotions include Senior Lecturer to Distinguished Senior Lecturer and Associate to Full Professor ranks for Clinical, Instruction, Practice, and Research.

 

*Colleges/Schools may allow faculty to use the promotion process as a mechanism to switch tracks from the Lecturer Series to the Professor Series or make other related title changes. Those decisions and the corresponding promotion amounts, if any, are at the sole discretion of the College/School.
