Please note: These are guidelines with a hard start date and end date due to UTA's responsibility to report results to the UT System. Please complete your step in a timely manner in order to not impinge on people's time to process evaluations later in the workflow.

Important Dates:

  • September 12, 2026: Candidates going up for promotion in AY 2026-2027 must notify their department chair or program director of their intention. Failure to notify the department chair by the deadline will result in delayed consideration until the following year.
  • September 9, 2026: Chairs send the names of the faculty coming up for promotion to their Dean’s office.
  • September 26, 2026: Deans send the name (Dept, UTA ID, Email, & Considered Promotion Rank) to the Division of Faculty Success (facultysuccess@uta.edu).

* A faculty member seeking promotion does not have to submit an annual evaluation separately; the aforementioned review submission will suffice.
