Facilitated Admissions

A graduate advisor may recommend a student for a master's degree or B.S. to a Ph.D. track program. To qualify, you must:

  1. Graduate from a bachelor's degree program no more than one academic year before your intended program start term.
  2. Your UTA grade-point average must equal or exceed 3.5 in the two calculations.
    • Our graduate admissions processing team calculates the grade-point average from the last 60 hours of study for admission purposes.
    • All work completed at UTA to date.

Fast Track Admissions

Fast-track admission allows undergraduate students to complete a master's degree following one year of full-time graduate study taken during the student's undergraduate experience. To qualify, you must:

  1. Be recommended by a graduate advisor.
  2. Must apply and be accepted by a participating graduate program as a Fast-Track student.

Waiver for Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

UTA graduates may qualify for a waiver of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). The Graduate Advisor must recommend the GRE waiver at the time of admission. Not all graduate programs participate in the GRE waiver program. To qualify:

  1. Students must graduate with a bachelor's degree no more than one academic year before their intended program start term.
  2. The student's UTA grade-point average must equal or exceed 3.5 in each of two calculations:
    • The grade-point average in the last 60 hours of study as calculated in Graduate Admissions for admission purposes.
    • All work completed at UTA to date.
