Follow these steps to complete your application for admissions as a international transfer student.

Application Priority Dates

Fall: February 14
Spring: October 15
Summer: April 1

Applications are accepted after the priority dates. Please submit the application and required documents by the priority date for guaranteed consideration.

Please note that some deadlines are earlier than application priority dates. You must submit your admissions application, along with all required documents to be considered for these scholarships.

Eligibility Requirements for International Transfer Students

 

Transferable Credit hours Minimum Acceptable GPA Additional Requirements
Less than 24 2.50

Must meet freshmen admission requirements and:

  • Have at least a 2.50 GPA on all transfer work
  • No developmental coursework when calculating minimum transferable credit hours or GPA
  • Grades of "D" or below do not transfer
  • All credits must be issued by a regionally accredited institution

Follow these steps to complete your admissions application.

2. Pay the Application Fee

If you did not submit your application fee at the time of submitting your admissions application you can pay online. Transfer students are not eligible for fee waivers.

3. Submit Official Transcripts

Please be advised, students can submit unofficial transcripts for admission through summer 2023. Students who submit unofficial transcripts to be reviewed for admission will still need to submit their official transcripts once the institution(s) have made them available. Official transcripts should be received no later than the 12th class day of a student’s first semester. You can submit your official transcripts to the Office of Admissions electronically or by mail.

4. Submit English Language Test Scores

Submit official TOEFL test scores if you are from a non-native English speaking country. The minimum acceptable TOEFL score is 550 for the paper based test, and 79 on the internet based test. For IELTS we require a minimum score of 6.5. UTA also accepts Duolingo with a required minimum score of 100. If you have taken both ENGL 1301 and ENGLI 1302, you are exempt from this requirement.

5. Check Admissions Status

You can check your admissions status through the MyMav student portal, where you can also review if you have any missing items needed to complete your application.
