First-year applicants from U.S. high schools, with the exception of GED graduates, should complete the Self-reported Transcript and Academic Record System (STARS). Transfer applicants and graduate applicants are not eligible to submit self reported academic records and should refer to our submitting official transcripts guidelines. The Self-reported Transcript and Academic Record System (STARS) allows you to self-report your high school courses, grades, class rank, and other academic information directly to UTA rather than having high school counselors send transcripts. With STARS you can complete your application faster, leading to a quicker admission decision.
First-year international applicants from non-U.S. high schools are not required to complete a STARS evaluation. First-year international applicants from non-U.S. high schools are required to submit documents to Foreign Credentials Service of America (FCSA). A FCSA processing fee of $90.00 USD will be charged. You can access STARS through your MyMav student portal. MyMav credentials are emailed to you 1-3 business days after UTA receives your application. STARS accounts will not be available for submission if you are not a First-Year (freshman) student.

The information you submit must be accurate and entered into the STARS exactly as listed on your transcript, so we recommend having a copy available when submitting to ensure accuracy. UTA will validate your grades after you've submitted your official final high school transcript with your graduation date by August 15.

Students who submit unofficial U.S. institution transcripts to be reviewed for admission will still need to submit their official transcripts once the institution(s) have made them available. Official transcripts should be received no later than the 12th class day of a student’s first semester. You can submit your official transcripts to the Office of Admissions electronically or by mail. The Office of Admissions does not return any physical documents once they have been received. Please consider that when choosing to submit original documents.
Students who have non-U.S. institution transcripts to submit to UTA are required to upload non-U.S. transcripts to Foreign Credentials Service of America (FCSA) for review. A FCSA processing fee charge of $90.00 USD will be collected by FCSA at the time of non-U.S. institution transcript upload.

We do not accept scans, images or PDFs attached to emails as official documents, unless they come directly from the school and must include an official signature from an authorized representative.

If the international academic records are in a language other than English, student must submit a literal, word-for-word English translation along with the copy of the original academic record to FCSA. Certified translations must be performed by a qualified disinterested third party, typically a professional translation company, university or government agency. Alternatively, FCSA can provide English translations for foreign language documents for purposes of completing the evaluation, yet the translations will not be provided to you or the organization/institution receiving the report. FCSA charges $50.00 to perform translations for purposes of completing the credential evaluation.
