First-year applicants from U.S. high schools, with the exception of GED graduates, should complete the Self-reported Transcript and Academic Record System (STARS). Transfer applicants and graduate applicants are not eligible to submit self reported academic records and should refer to our submitting official transcripts guidelines. The Self-reported Transcript and Academic Record System (STARS) allows you to self-report your high school courses, grades, class rank, and other academic information directly to UTA rather than having high school counselors send transcripts. With STARS you can complete your application faster, leading to a quicker admission decision.
First-year international applicants from non-U.S. high schools are not required to complete a STARS evaluation. First-year international applicants from non-U.S. high schools may upload their unofficial international transcripts for UTA review. Please review official transcripts guidelines.

You can access STARS through your MyMav student portal. MyMav credentials are emailed to you 1-3 business days after UTA receives your application. STARS accounts will not be available for submission if you are not a First-Year (freshman) student.

The information you submit must be accurate and entered into the STARS exactly as listed on your transcript, so we recommend having a copy available when submitting to ensure accuracy. UTA will validate your grades after you've submitted your official final high school transcript with your graduation date by August 15.

Students who submit unofficial transcripts to be reviewed for admission will still need to submit their official transcripts once the institution(s) have made them available. Official transcripts should be received no later than the 12th class day of a student’s first semester. You can submit your official transcripts to the Office of Admissions electronically or by mail. The Office of Admissions does not return any physical documents once they have been received. Please consider that when choosing to submit original documents.

UTA only accepts official transcripts from your high school's approved service [i.e TREx, Naviance, Parchment, etc]. We do not accept scans, images or PDFs attached to emails as official documents, unless they come directly from the school and must include an official signature from an authorized representative.

If the international academic records are in a language other than English, student must submit a literal, word-for-word English translation along with the copy of the original academic record. We can only accept English translated transcript (course by course) if it is directly prepared/translated by the attending institutions/schools or if the evaluation/translation completed by any of the NACES & AICES affiliated evaluation companies. We cannot accept the English translated transcript from any notary public or any third party.
If you have submitted your graduate application and have not already requested your official transcripts/degree verification to be sent to UTA and wish to have your application processed with unofficial transcripts/degree verification, upload digital copies of your unofficial transcripts/degree verification.
