Student Groups

AIGA UTA Student Group is a student run affiliate of the national American Institute of Graphic Art. Our goal is to enhance the education of UTA design students by providing events, workshops, resources, critiques, and community, while also helping them build leadership skills that will be valuable as they move into the professional world.

AIGA, the professional association for design, believes designers serve a critical role as communicators, educators and innovators. AIGA sets the national agenda for the role of design in economic, social, political, cultural and creative contexts.

Film Animation Mavericks (FAM) is the official film student organization of UTA.

We are a community of filmmakers committed to help each other. In love with live action, animation, documentaries and any movies that would move us to laugh or cry.  We organize activities, help to connect the 160+ film students in the Art and Art History department and we also organize the end of semester film showcases; the big events in which we all get together and celebrate our creative work.

Please join us in our regular meetings and events and feel free to contact us any time.
