About Us

LRC Mission Statement

The Math Learning Resource Center (Math LRC) at The University of Texas at Arlington empowers undergraduate students to succeed in mathematics by providing accessible, high-quality, and free tutoring through the Math Clinic and Math Lab. The Math Lab offers students free, equitable access to technology that supports online homework platforms as well as advanced mathematical software. We foster understanding, confidence, and independent problem‑solving skills, while partnering with instructors to create an engaging, welcoming, and supportive learning environment.

Acceptance

We cultivate a respectful learning space that embraces all backgrounds and learning styles.

Accessibility

We strive to provide math help which is free, visible, and easy to use so all students can get timely support.

Collaboration

We encourage collaborative learning among students and between students and faculty, and we value curiosity and inquiry as pathways to deeper understanding.

Integrity

We uphold professionalism, ethical conduct, and mutual respect in all interactions.

Student Agency

We prioritize developing each student’s independent problem‑solving abilities, critical thinking, and lifelong learning strategies rather than simply providing answers.
