Code of Conduct

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR EDUCATIONAL LOANS

The U.S. Department of Education requires all colleges and universities to adhere to a code of conduct that specifically applies to student loans. The University of Texas at Arlington has developed the following policy regarding the ethical Code of Conduct.

UTA employees will not:

  • Accept payment or gifts from an outside lender to provide student loans to UT Arlington students
  • Accept consulting fees from a student loan provider
  • Accept staffing assistance from an outside organization in exchange for student loan referrals
  • Accept compensation for service on an advisory board or committee of a student loan provider
  • Accept funds from a traditional student loan provider to establish a university loan fund
