Scholarship Terms & Conditions

Don't miss out! Accept your scholarship in your MyMav account at my.uta.edu by January 12, 2026 for spring 2026 scholarship offers or May 1, 2026 for fall 2026 scholarship offers. By accepting your scholarship, you indicate your understanding and agreement to the terms of the scholarship set forth below.

Scholarship Terms

  • Full-time enrollment (12 or more UTA credit hours) each fall and spring semester is required to activate and continue participation in the UTA scholarship program. Concurrent enrollment at another institution does not count toward the full-time requirement. Please review details at uta.edu/scholarships.
  • Dropping below full-time status will jeopardize both the retention of your current scholarship and your eligibility for renewal.
  • Deferred admission voids your scholarship offer and acceptance. Future scholarship consideration requires re-application for admission.
  • The Scholarships Office may release names and/or pictures of scholarship recipients for individual and institutional recognition. In addition, academic and/or financial status may be released to any University or endowment official.
  • These scholarships support students pursuing their first baccalaureate degree in a for-credit, degree-seeking program.
  • Students who elect to participate in the Coordinated Admission Program (CAP) through the University of Texas at Austin, who are participants in the Accelerated Online Programs or are in non-degree seeking program are ineligible for these scholarships.

Renewal Criteria

Your scholarship is renewable for the renewal term in your award letter, if you meet all the criteria listed below your scholarship. Visit the Policies section of our website for more details.

Presidential Honors, Presidential, and Maverick Academic Scholarships

  • Complete 30 UTA credit hours per year.
  • Maintain a minimum, cumulative UTA GPA of 3.0.

Transfer Scholarships

  • Complete 24 UTA credit hours per year.
  • Maintain a minimum, cumulative UTA GPA of 3.0.
