Applying for Graduation in MyMav

 

Applying for Graduation In MyMav:

  1. Login to MyMav
  2. Select the “Academic Progress” tile
  3. Select “Apply for Graduation”. Please ensure that the information regarding the degree is correct prior to applying.
  • Undergraduates—dual majors and dual degrees are submitted under one application for one application fee
  • Graduates—dual majors must submit an application for each program and will assess two fees

Graduation Deadlines

Applications will continue to be accepted online through the deadlines listed below.  A $40 filing fee is billed each semester that you file and is non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Applications received after the deadline to apply will accrue an additional $60 late fee.

Depending on the commencement program publishing deadlines, late-applying students may not have their name included in the commencement program.

*Applications for each term are closed by deadline.  Check your eligibility to apply for future terms within your MyMav Student Center

NOTE: Diplomas will be issued approximately 6-8 weeks after the completion of conferral and will be sent to graduates via USPS mail.  Graduates with account balances or transcript or any diploma holds must clear these before their diploma can be released for mailing.  Diplomas are only kept and available for mailing for one (1) year after graduation.  After one year, the graduate will need to order a replacement diploma.

Deadline to submit your approved Thesis or Dissertation to the Library AND submit a report of your Final Master's Exam Report or Dissertation Defense Report to Office of Admissions, Records and Registration:

Meeting the published term deadline assures that records and required documents will be reviewed and processed in time to confer a degree in that term. Short deadline extensions may be requested if unavoidable circumstances make it impossible to meet that deadline. Extension requests must be submitted using this form. If approved, every effort will be made to confer the degree upon qualified students. However, there is no absolute guarantee the necessary reviews and approvals can be completed in time to award the degree if a deadline extension is granted. If processing cannot be completed, a student may apply to graduate in a subsequent term.



FERPA Restrictions

Beginning Summer 2020, the name that you list in your Commencement RSVP settings will be printed for both the Commencement booklet and diploma. You no longer have to submit a Name Change request.
