Military Science to add three alumni to Hall of Honor

Three former ROTC cadets at The University of Texas at Arlington will be inducted into the Military Science Hall of Honor on Saturday, March 25. From left, retired Lt. Col. Andy Cano (’80 BS, Physical Education), retired Col. Kenneth E. Smith (’76 BA, History), and Floyd Wine (’69 AS, Aeronautical Engineering; ’83 BBA, Management) will be honored at 10:30 a.m. in the Bluebonnet Ballroom of the E.H. Hereford University Center. The Carlisle Cannons will fire three blasts around 11:30 a.m. at The Green at College Park. A luncheon follows at noon and a performance by the Sam Houston Rifles Drill Team is at 1 p.m.

Faith leaders discuss diversity Tuesday

Plan to attend "An Evening with Faith Leaders for the UTA Community: Understanding Diversity Through Faith" at 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, in the Rosebud Theatre of the E.H. Hereford University Center. UTA, in partnership with Faith Forward Dallas at Thanks-Giving Square, will host the open discussion about creating and perpetuating a community of respect and compassion with three North Texas faith leaders. The event is free.
