Social work professor earns national award
The Council on Social Work Education has chosen Professor Beverly Black to receive its 2013 Distinguished Recent Contributions in Social Work Education Award. The award honors significant and broad contributions to social work education in scholarship, pedagogy, and organizational leadership.
UT Regents award student for exceptional work in visual arts
Recent photography graduate Bryce Bennett has received the UT System Board of Regents’ Outstanding Student Award in Arts and Humanities for his exceptional work in the visual arts.
Professors assist in turtle genome
Two assistant professors of biology recently completed work on an international effort to sequence the genome of a western painted turtle, only the second reptile species to have its genetic information fully mapped.
