Taner Özdil new Vice President for Research & Creative Scholarship

The Council for Education and Landscape Architecture (CELA) introduces the 2021-2022 CELA Board of Directors. 

Taner Özdil, associate professor of landscape architecture, is the new Vice President for Research & Creative Scholarship for the year 2020-2022. Prior, he was the Track Co-chair for CELA. His research, professional experience, and creative activities cover urban landscapes and urban design, emphasizing resiliency, sustainability, and green design practices.

Özdil and the other Board of Directors are looking forward to fulfilling CELA's mission to encourage, support, and further education in the field of landscape architecture specifically related to teaching, research, scholarship, and public service. 

The goal is to continue recruiting and retaining underrepresented students to landscape architecture programs, helping mentor graduates into professional life and leadership, and fostering an inclusive and welcoming practice environment.
