Overview
Membership is open to any currently-enrolled student at UT Arlington, regardless of major. In these small groups, students are able to work on interaction and improvisation in an intimate setting.
Through this ensemble, students gain a wide variety of experiences in several genres of percussion ensemble through large-scale percussion orchestra and smaller chamber works.
This student ensemble is devoted to the performance of compositions written for multiple violas.
Students have the option of forming groups on their own or they may request to be assigned to a group. UTA faculty members provide intensive weekly coaching to string quartets, piano trios and mixed ensembles of all sizes.
The Maverick Flute Choir is a collaborative ensemble, comprised of UTA flutists (including non-majors), that seeks to engage and inspire audiences with classic, contemporary, original, and collaborative musical works, often fused with a wide variety of other artistic mediums.
The ensemble is comprised of music majors and non-majors, as well as students who are looking for an opportunity to double on the saxophone.
The UT Arlington Trombone Choir is an ensemble consisting of 14-18 trombonists who meet as an extension of the trombone studio.
The trumpet ensemble performs music of a variety of styles and musical periods at concert and ceremonial functions on the UT Arlington campus.
A diverse variety of ensembles study and perform select traditional and contemporary literature, and include many new works.
