The MavElite and Student Staff

The MavElite and Student Staff are a group of highly trained students who help recruit future students and represent the Office of Admissions.

MavElite

MavElite members come from all over the world, represent many of the majors available at UTA, and are active on campus. MavElite members serve in leadership positions in The Big Event, Student Government, Greek life, and many other organizations. Most importantly, they are passionate about being Mavericks and love helping prospective students and their families. MavElite members are an important part of the campus visit team.

Admissions Student Staff

These student staff members work in various positions to help prospective students not only learn about the university, but help guide them through the admissions process. Student Staff work in The Office of Admissions assisting the admissions team. The Office of Admissions is a fun, team-oriented department that focuses on finding the best students and engaging them in a superior college experience at UTA.

POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

There are a variety of positions available, ranging from campus tour guide to data entry assistant. The Office of Admissions is a fun, team-oriented department that focuses on finding the best students and engaging them in a superior college experience at UTA. These positions offer flexible schedules, competitive pay, and the opportunity to make a difference.

MAV ELITE

Tour Guides give campus tours to prospective students, their families, school/community groups, and VIP guests. They staff the Dan Dipert University Welcome Center in the College Park District. Campus Visit Assistants manage and maintain all campus tour data in MyMav. They also work the Dan Dipert University Welcome Center front desk, answer phone calls, and complete various duties at the DDUWC. Both MavElite positions also staff recruitment events such as Maverick Experience.

Office of Admissions Student Staff

Admissions Assistants work the reception area at the Office of Admissions in the University Administration Building answering admissions questions and providing customer service to students. Customer Service Assistants manage the office's email accounts by answering questions and requests. Data Entry Assistants maintain and update student data in the student information system and recruit students via phone by making calls to future students to help them with the admission process.

  2. There are separate supplemental applications for MavElite positions (link in Handshake) and Office of Admissions positions (button at top of page).
  3. Do not complete more than one supplemental application.

The Dan Dipert University Welcome Center hires MavElite Tour Guides and Campus Visit Assistants multiple times a year.
