Study investigates perception versus reality

A study led by UTA environmental researchers suggests a disconnect between the perception of groundwater contamination and the extent to which that contamination is attributable to oil and natural gas extraction, First Bell, Dallas Innovates and Mirage News reported. Kevin Schug, Shimadzu Distinguished Professor of Analytical Chemistry and co-founder and director of CLEAR, led the study along with CLEAR co-founder Zacariah Hildenbrand.

Curb appeal

Sriram Villupuram, UTA associate professor of finance and real estate, published a new study quantifying the impact of curb appeal and found that the attractiveness of a home can boost its value by 7% or more, WBAP 820 AM reported in its Love Your Home nationally syndicated segment.
