Congratulations to Erhard van Deventer, who presented his prospectus research on Wednesday, October 13. Mr. van Deventer’s dissertation, currently titled, “The Subjugation of the Comanche and Zulu during the Eighteenth and Nineteenth Centuries,” compares and contrasts the imperial subjugation of the Zulu and Comanche peoples by western colonial powers. An important part of completing a dissertation, the Brown Bag prospectus series allows doctoral students to receive feedback from their colleagues, departmental professors, and members of the university who wish to attend.
