Ms. Alexis Galindo, a native of Grand Prairie, Texas, serves as the High School Choral Director at the Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy (GPFAA), where she directs multiple varsity and non-varsity ensembles and supports a thriving choral program across grade levels. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education from the University of Texas at Arlington, where she was an active member of Rise A Cappella and served as the group’s music director for two years. During her time with Rise, she competed in ICCA and performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall and the Beacon Theatre in New York.

In addition to her work in the classroom, Ms. Galindo maintains an active performance career. She has appeared in operatic productions such as Gianni Schicchi and Eugene Onegin, and made her international debut in Morelia, Mexico in Die Zauberflöte. Following college, she continued performing with ensembles including Fort Worth Chorale, Awaken Ensemble, and the pop a cappella group Vibe A Cappella. Passionate about contemporary a cappella, she is currently developing a student a cappella program at GPFAA with plans to enter competitions in the near future, while continuing to foster musical excellence and leadership in her students.
