UTA Records' first released album, WoodWired's “In the Loop," has been named to Audiophile’s Best of 2018 Classical Releases list, Mirage News reported.

Alumnus in harm's way

Tom Fox, a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist at The Dallas Morning News, continued to snap photos after finding himself in a dangerously close encounter with a gunman who opened fire outside of a Dallas federal building Monday, Heavy.com reported. Fox is a UTA alumnus.

New president

Won Sung-soo was inaugurated as the seventh president of South Korea’s Chungnam National University, Start News, the Chungsheong Daily and many other media outlets reported. Won Sung-soo earned his doctorate in public administration from UTA.

Migraine help

Dr. Sharisse Stephenson, a board-certified headache and brain injury medicine specialist, wrote a question-and-answer column for BlackAmericaWeb.com about migraines. June is Migraine Awareness Month. She earned her master’s degree from UTA and her medical degree from University of Pittsburgh.
