Breaking Down to Build Up
The trend of demolishing old homes to make room for new custom builds is on the rise, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Kathryn Holliday, UTA professor of architecture, believes that the trend is here to stay.
Legal Fights
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has been actively involved in lawsuits against the Biden Administration, according to the Dallas Observer. Brent Boyea, UTA professor and interim chair of the Department of Political Science, called such action by state attorneys general against the current president “really common.”
Arlington History
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram profiled what was once the Berachah Industrial Home for the Redemption of Erring Girls, a rescue home in the early 20th century that sits on what is now the edge of UTA’s campus.
