About the MAFE Faculty Fellows

The Maverick Advantage Faculty Engagement Faculty Fellows Program consists of a cohort of faculty who participate in a year-long intensive program. Not only do Fellows gain tools for integrating a Maverick Advantage component into an existing course in an academically rigorous way, they also build collaborative relationships with faculty across disciplines and with the UTA community at large.

The Maverick Advantage consists of high impact practices that expose students to experiential learning while attaining their undergraduate degree. The Maverick Advantage Faculty Engagement (MAFE) program promotes student learning through strategic service projects and experiences that are directly related to course content. Through reflective activities, students enhance their understanding of course content, think critically to apply academic training to real-world issues, and develop a greater sense of self in order to attain their future goals.

Faculty Fellows will receive $2,500 as professional funds in their department or research account at the conclusion of the academic year after requirements have been met.

Enhancing Course Cohesion through Collaboration

The Faculty Fellows Program helps teachers improve their courses and address shared classroom issues, leading to a better learning experience for students.

The Faculty Fellows Program helps you structure your course in a way that’s cohesive.
