Telepresence robots and nursing

UT Arlington’s College of Nursing and Health Innovation is using telepresence robots to help students learn remotely, NBC 5 reported. UTA is tripling its fleet of robots thanks to funding from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s Nursing Innovation Grant Program. The telepresence robots are helpful when students and professors need to work remotely but utilize a clinical learning space.

Virtual career fair

The UTA Lockheed Martin Career Development Center will be virtually hosting its biannual career fair to connect employers to new talent, Patch.com reported. From February 23 to 25, participating employers will have the opportunity to connect with an unlimited number of UTA students and alumni, host free webinars, and view resumes. Access to the platform and resumes will be available until May 26. The deadline to register is February 16; a list of the center's policies can be found here.
