Strategic Initiatives

The Office of the President oversees a number of projects designed to advance the University’s goals within the framework of the strategic plan. The Assistant Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, in coordination with administration and academic units, establishes new and innovative programming intended to assist faculty, staff and students in pursuing scholarly and academic achievement. Activities originating out of this office are to be transformational and forward-thinking, providing improved opportunities for the stakeholders of The University of Texas at Arlington community.

The current issues of the day in higher education, combined with relevant data, are used to inform development of new initiatives and progress toward UTA’s vision of becoming one of the nation’s preeminent urban research institutions.
