Meet Isit

I chose UTA because it felt like a place where I could grow academically and professionally. The engineering and computer science programs lined up really well with my interests in data science and AI, and I liked that classes focus a lot on practical work instead of just exams. Being in the DFW area was a huge plus, since it opens up opportunities for internships, networking and industry exposure while still being in school. What’s kept me here is the progress I’ve seen in myself over time—each semester pushes me a little more, and the support from professors and classmates makes the challenge feel worth it.

The best part about studying engineering at UTA is how hands-on and realistic the learning experience is. You’re constantly working on projects that make you think, problem-solve, and apply what you learn to situations that feel relevant. Collaborating with students from different backgrounds has been a big part of the experience and has helped me improve how I work in teams. Having approachable professors and access to meaningful academic and professional opportunities makes it feel like what you’re doing in class is directly connected to what you’ll be doing after graduation.
