A woman poses with her two sons, both UTA alumni

Meet Flor

I couldn't be prouder. My kids came from Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD with a strong foundation and UTA gave them the opportunity to keep growing in their path. Each chose something different – aerospace engineer, software engineer, industrial engineer and architecture. UTA supported all of them with strong programs and real-world preparation.

Seeing all three of my boys graduate confident and ready for their careers and Fatima continuing to enjoy and grow in her classes, has proven to me that UTA was the best choice for our family.

One of the opportunities I'm most grateful for was the Outreach Program, where Braulio, Fatima and Saul had the opportunity to work as student ambassadors, and I could really see them grow through that. They participated in events and learned how to carry themselves professionally. When they traveled to Austin and were able to sit in legislative sessions and meet state representatives, that was very special for our family. Moments like that are unforgettable and really showed them the impact they can have beyond the classroom.

Scholarships and financial support also played an important role in supporting their education, which made a big difference for our family.

I would say that UTA offers more than just a degree – it provides a true path for growth. It's a place where, if your child is willing to put the work, UTA will open doors and turn that effort into real opportunity.

UTA gave my kids the tools, the resources and, most important, the independence they needed to grow in their path, both professionally and personally. From my experience, my boys left with more than a degree, they left with confidence, real-world experience and a strong sense of direction. As a parent, there's nothing more reassuring than seeing your children step into the world prepared, confident and ready for what's next and UTA provided that to our family.
