Investiture Ceremony

What:

All members and friends of the Maverick family are invited to attend Dr. Cowley’s Presidential Investiture Ceremony, where she will be formally conferred the authority and symbols of the UTA presidency. RSVP appreciated but not required.

When:

2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2022

Know before you go

All guest bags not in compliance with College Park Center's clear bag policy will be inspected upon entry. For quicker entry, bring a small purse no larger than 4.5"x8.5" or a clear tote bag no larger than 12"x6"x12". One-gallon re-sealable bags are also acceptable. Medically necessary bags, including small diaper bags, will be admitted after inspection.

College Park Center is fully equipped for ADA needs. Guests who need handicap parking should ask parking attendants for directions to the appropriate area of the arena. Parking shuttles and wheelchair escorts are available upon request at arrival for guests unable to walk long distances.

Tickets are not required for entry into the Presidential Investiture Ceremony at College Park Center, and seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis except for in reserved areas.

College Park Center and its partners are committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable sports and entertainment experience. UTA reserves the unrestricted right to revoke any ticket license for violating any University policy, including (list is not exclusive) entering prohibited items, throwing objects, offensive language, or disruptive behavior. In conjunction with College Park Center and for the safety of our guests and employees, the following are prohibited:

  • Outside food, beverage and alcohol
  • Helium balloons
  • Glass containers
  • Parcels or packages
  • Artificial noisemakers
  • Large signs
  • Tripods/monopods
  • Any animal other than a service animal
  • Weapons of any kind (knives, firearms, tazers, etc.)
  • Glitter/confetti/streamers
  • Laser pointers
  • Use of tobacco products of any kind & e-cigs inside or outside the College Park Center. The University of Texas at Arlington is a tobacco-free campus.

Street Festival Reception

What:

Join us immediately after the Presidential Investiture Ceremony for a street festival celebration of President Cowley and the possibilities on the horizon for the Maverick community. RSVP appreciated but not required.
