Apartment Move In

What to Know?

Move-in Event for Apartments will be on Friday, Aug. 18, 2023. Students will be sent information via their UTA student email to select a move-in reservation in early August. Students are provided their apartment number at the time of move in. 

Temporary Housing

Students that will be arriving to campus before their scheduled move-in date can apply for Temporary Housing. Information for Temporary Housing can be found by clicking here. 

Before You Move In

Be regularly checking this page for updated information in regards to the 2023 Fall Apartment Move-In Event.

You are required to complete the following before your scheduled move in date:

  • Pay your prorated rent before your move in date
  • The amount due is shown on your lease agreement
  • Register all occupants by Sunday August 13, 2023 at 5 pm – (keys will only be issued occupants registered by this deadline)
  • Meet the meningitis requirement

If you plan on having a roommate (registered occupant), you should register your occupant online by the deadline above to make sure both you and your roommate(s) will be issued a key on move in day.

How to Register Your Occupants

In order to use the online housing portal you will need your net ID and password issued to you by the Office of Information Technology (OIT). If you do not have or know your net ID or password, contact the OIT at helpdesk@uta.edu. Occupants must be registered on the lease before a key can be issued to them.

Below are the instructions to for registering your occupants through the Online Housing Assistant.

  1. Visit the Online Housing Portal
  2. Log in using your Net ID and password on the UTA Online Housing Portal home page
  3. Click “Looking for an apartment?”
  4. Click on the “Application” tab
  5. Select “Apartment By Unit – 2023-2024” and click “Save and Continue”
  6. If you have a renewal lease, you should choose “Apartment by Unit – 2023-2024 Renewal”
  7. Click on “Additional Occupant Management” from the list of options on the numbered menu to view or update your occupants.

On Your Scheduled Move-In Date

Key Pick-Up

  • Registered additional occupants must complete the Occupant 2023-2024 application in the Housing Portal.
  • Visit the Online Housing Portal
  • Log in using your Net ID and password on the UTA Online Housing Portal home page.Click “Looking for an apartment?”
  • Click on the “Application” tab
  • Choose “Occupant 2022-2023”

Please note that Check-In closes at 5:00 pm. Failure to arrive on campus by the above stated time will/can result in a delayed move in process. There will be no check ins or key pick-ups on the weekend for all apartments except the Heights.

  • If a moving company is delivering your belongings or if you are you are having furniture delivered, please schedule delivery for after 5:00pm on your scheduled move in date.

Parking Tag

Purchase a parking permit from the Parking Office's Online Portal. Additional occupants that will be parking on campus will also need to purchase a parking permit. For more information, call the Parking Office at 817-272-3907.

Inventory And Condition Form

An Apartment Life staff member has completed an inspection of your apartment prior to your arrival. A copy of the inventory and condition form will be waiting for you on your kitchen counter. If you have changes that need to be made to the condition form, please refer to the instructions given to you at the time of key pick up.
