TRYOUTS FOR FALL 2024
In-person Tryouts
- May 3, 2024 from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm and May 4, 2024 from 1pm-5pm.
- Registration forms and payment is due by May 3, 2024 at 5pm.
- Tryout fee: $40
- Location: Physical Education Building (upstairs gym 201), 801 Greek Row Dr., Arlington, TX 76013
Tryouts Requirements
Freshman/Transfer Students: Proof of Application to UTA
Current Students: Minimum cumulative and current GPA of 2.0
Copy of Health Insurance

Skills can go above and beyond the requirements listed here.
Co-Ed Stunting
- Two Stunts – judged on execution and difficulty level
- Toss to Hands Liberty, Stretch, Awesome
- Toss Stunt to the Top (straight-up, full up, rewind, etc)
- At least one stunt with a Double Down Cradle
Flyers
- Be able to pull multiple body positions (Heel Stretch, Scorpion, Scale, etc.)
- Double Down Cradles
Group Stunting
- Two Stunts – judged on execution and difficulty level
- Preferred Stunts: Awesome, Liberty, Stretch, Arabesque
- Use elite variations for entry into stunts (straight-up, full ups, rewinds, etc)
- At least one stunt with a Double Down Cradle
Things To Know
Summer work weeks TBA at tryouts
Camp will be at the end of July
Scholarships are available
As a member of the Cheer Squad, you are obligated to sign the one-year contract and to fulfill the financial obligations that will be stated at the beginning of the season
Upon making the team, each member must complete the Notice of Voluntary Service (Form 3-8) and attach a photocopy of proof of the right to work in the United States (typically a driver's license and Social Security card.) A Foreign National with a visa status that permits on-campus work qualifies for right-to-work status and needs to submit a photocopy of the appropriate document(s)
