Each year, the Department of Political Science awards named scholarships to continuing students. The application process occurs in March/April of the spring semester. For details and to apply, contact the POLS undergraduate advisor.
The Dawson Endowed Scholarship was created in memory of a highly regarded former faculty member and department chair Dr. Irving Owen Dawson.
The endowment's objective is to provide academic scholarships for Political Science majors and to help recruit and retain qualified political science students.
Selection is made through the Department of Political Science. Any UT Arlington political science major may apply.
All other factors being equal, preference will be given to members of Pi Sigma Alpha and students with a focus in Public Policy/Public Administration.
The award may be used for tuition, fees, and books. All Awardees will be referred to as Dawson Scholars.
The friends and family of Suzanne J. Katsikas created an endowment to honor this esteemed former faculty member and department chair. The endowment is intended to provide highly qualified political science majors with financial support and to help retain them within the program. Selection is made through the Department of Political Science.
Any UT Arlington political science major may apply.
