Assistantships

The UTA Department of History is only able to offer limited support for M.A. students. When available, this support includes:

Graduate Teaching Assistantships

Graduate Teaching Assistantships are occasionally available for students who are pursuing the Masters degrees in History at UTA. These positions entail assisting instructors in entry-level undergraduate courses. GTA positions are awarded based on the academic record of applicants.

Graduate Research Assistantships

A small number of Graduate Research Assistantships may be available to graduate students who help with research in Transatlantic Studies and with publication of a cartographic history journal.

In addition, the George Wolfskill Award annually recognizes student academic excellence in the M. A. History program.
