Food Dashboard

UTA's food dashboard provides data on food recovery and composting (pre consumer and post-consumer).

Our composting program sources food waste from on-campus dining services and off-campus coffee shops and hospitals as well as yard waste collected from campus ground crews. The University uses the compost as mulch and soil amendment on campus grounds and in the new community garden. The program has received numerous awards from the Greater DFW Recycling Alliance, and the EPA Food Recovery Challenge.

The student led chapter of the Food Recovery Network was operation in 2021 and 2022. The Maverick Pantry is committed to creating and maintaining equitable access to food and essential items so that all members of the University Community. Graphs below shows the cumulative impact of these donations.
